Summer in Paris

Oh Paris. Need I say more really? Our summer in Paris, though short, was glorious. We only stayed in the city for two days as the focus of this summer’s trip was really the South of France. But of course Paris, even if for only a few days, never ceases to prove its charms and has still captivated me through and through. Having finished all the tourist spots on our first trip two years ago, we opted to focus on just getting lost…

Antibes

What’s amazing about the South of France is that every commune is unique. Each and every commune offers a kind of beauty one will not find elsewhere and Antibes is no different. Antibes is beautiful on its own right. The streets are quaint and quiet and little nooks and corners are filled with overflowing cascades of wildflowers. I loved how there’s almost always a surprise at every little street you turn be it a nostalgic window or a series of…

Rome

It’s been five months since I wrote. You’ll have to forgive me as I’ve just dipped myself into the biggest adventure I could have yet… I got married!! And yes it’s been amazing! The past months have been a true roller coaster ride what with all the wedding and honeymoon planning. Much as I love it though, I am so happy to get back in the grind of things and really start living my new chapter with my husband. Let…

St Paul de Vence

About an hour away from Nice lies a medieval town perched on top of a hill. From the bus, you can see the cluster of buildings set on a fortified commune. St Paul de Vence was the first place we visited upon arriving in Nice. This beautiful medieval town was the quintessential artist’s retreat. Every corner you turn and every shop you pass by is, pretty much, an art gallery. What’s even more amazing are the collections of artwork the shops…

The Paris Wife

I am absolutely that type of reader who not only goes through the lines of a book but also consumes the content, the meaning, the imaginary world such volume has to offer. I open a book prepared to go along with the characters and the story as if I  am part of the whole narrative. As an ode to my love for books, I am beginning a new way of keeping track of the books I read and love. What better time to…

Meandering Thoughts

I’m taking a little bit of a break from all my travel postings (so as not to saturate you) to say hello to fall weather!! Don’t get me wrong, I do love summer but there is something about having to bundle up in a blanket sized scarf and drinking hot melted chocolate with light powdery marshmallows that make me feel genuinely giddy that the season’s here! Ever changing seasons, for me, mark a chance for change and a chance to create and…

Èze

One of the last places we made a trip to was the village of Èze. We knew we could not let the opportunity to visit this amazing commune pass. From Gare de Nice-Ville, we once again, took the train to Èze-sur-mer (the same train that runs through the Monaco-Menton route). From the train station in Èze-sur-mer, we took bus 83 that took us to Èze-village. The bus trip to the village is not without its charms. The twists of the…
